About Us

The GradRoom started life as a conversation about how, as a student, finding the good jobs and getting yourself started on the career ladder involved too much hassle and wasn’t a positive experience. We set out to re-think the way recruiters could be talking to us and began creating a solution.

We created The GradRoom to solve problems which we identified during our own graduate recruitment experience as final year students at University. The GradRoom allows you to manage the recruitment process intuitively through Facebook in a safe and secure way. You can still register with large numbers of careers and recruitment websites and be part of untargeted mailing lists – but you don’t have to.

We asked ourselves the question, “What do we stand for?” You might want to call it our mission but we see our purpose as:

Putting students first – nurturing talent, providing opportunities

That’s why we we’re making The GradRoom and our partner recruiters as accessible, open and interesting as you want us to be.  We are putting information out there for all students to get a better understanding of the opportunities available and helping you make the most of them.

Be informed and be prepared

We wanted to be on campus to bring something of value to our students and also to stay in touch with our most important stakeholders – people like you.  We learned lots of our lessons on the best ways to get great jobs too late for them to be of use.  We want it to be better for you.

You can find us on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and so on because we want everyone to be free to make the most of what we have to offer and to contribute to making us better.  We never want to be far away and hope that we are approachable by anyone looking for some support.
